Questions,
answered.
If your question isn't here, email us and a person will reply — usually within one business day.
How loud is 130 decibels, really?
Louder than a chainsaw and close to a jet engine at takeoff distance. It is loud enough to be heard hundreds of metres away and uncomfortable enough that nobody wants to stand next to it.
Do I need to charge it?
No. Howl runs on a replaceable cell rated for around twelve months on stand-by, so there is nothing to plug in and nothing to forget.
Does it need an app or phone signal?
Never. Howl is fully mechanical to trigger and works in car parks, stairwells, trails and anywhere with no reception.
What if it goes off by accident?
Slide the pin back into the body and the siren stops immediately. There is no reset code and no lockout period.
Is it water resistant?
Howl handles rain, sweat and splashes. It is not designed for submersion or swimming.
Can I take it on a plane?
Yes — Howl is accepted in carry-on luggage on Australian and New Zealand carriers. Check with your airline if you are travelling internationally.
How long does shipping take?
Australian metro orders usually arrive in 2–4 business days and New Zealand orders in 4–7. Every order gets tracking by email.
Can I return it?
Yes. Unused devices can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. See shipping and returns for the details.
